Production Field Service Technician - Southfield MI
Position Summary
Applied Innovation is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Production Print Service Technician to join our service team covering the Detroit and Toledo markets. In this role, you will perform on-site repairs and preventative maintenance on Canon and Ricoh production and high-volume print equipment while delivering exceptional customer service. You will be a critical part of our collaborative service environment and will be fully equipped with a company vehicle, laptop, tools, training, and phone plan options to support your success. Training will be provided for the right candidate; prior production print service experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Repair, troubleshoot, and maintain high-speed production print equipment and related accessories
Manage an assigned service territory while delivering Applied Innovation’s high standards of service quality and responsiveness
Collaborate with fellow technicians and internal teams to ensure customer service needs are met efficiently
Maintain accurate inventory of parts, tools, and service documentation
Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment uptime
Represent Applied Innovation professionally in all customer interactions, you are the face of the company
Safely operate a company-provided vehicle while traveling between customer locations
Qualifications & Requirements
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
High school diploma or equivalent (additional education a plus)
Prior experience servicing production or high-volume print equipment required
Factory certifications from Canon and/or Ricoh preferred, but not required
Working knowledge of print drivers and basic network communication is helpful
Proven mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills
Strong organization, communication, planning, and time management abilities
Ability to work independently with a self-motivated mindset
