Applied Innovation is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused Shipping & Receiving Associate to support daily logistics and inventory operations at our Grand Rapids facility. This hands-on role is responsible for receiving, preparing, organizing, and delivering supplies while maintaining accurate inventory records and an orderly workspace. The Shipping & Receiving Associate works closely with the Shipping & Receiving Lead, Customer Loyalty Center, AI Inventory and the Shipping & Receiving Manager to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient operational support. A company vehicle is provided for all work-related travel and local deliveries.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.
  • Prepare, package, and ship outgoing equipment and supplies according to company standards.
  • Accurately record shipment information, including discrepancies or damages, and report issues as needed.
  • Maintain and organize equipment storage areas to protect company inventory and assets.
  • Sort, stock, and place inventory on racks and shelves in designated locations.
  • Deliver supplies to local customers and internal locations using a company vehicle.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping and receiving area.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support operational and customer needs.
  • Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 60 pounds on a consistent basis.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dependable, professional, and self-motivated with a team-oriented mindset.
  • Customer service-focused with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Education/License/Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Valid Driver’s License with good driving record (No DUI’s in the past 5 years).
  • OSHA forklift certification preferred; must be willing to obtain certification upon hire.
  • Previous experience in shipping & receiving, inventory control, warehouse, or logistics environments, preferred.
