Applied Innovation is seeking a detail oriented, team focused individual to assist in the day-to-day operations of our Human Resources team as an Applied Human Resources Coordinator. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive support across all functional areas of Human Resources, including employee relations, benefits administration, onboarding, compliance, HR operations, and employee engagement. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees, ensuring prompt resolution of inquiries and consistent HR service delivery. The Applied Resources Coordinator will report directly to the Applied Resources Manager. This is a Monday to Friday 8 AM - 5 PM role working onsite.

- Manage the HR inbox and serve as the first point of contact for employee questions related to policies, benefits, hiring processes, retirement, and general HR matters.
- Assist with weekly payroll processing, including expense reimbursement, mileage reimbursement, paid time off and reviewing hourly employee timecards.
- Maintain accurate and confidential HR files, records, and documentation, ensuring compliance with retention requirements.
- Manage FMLA and non-FMLA Leave of Absences and Worker’s Compensation administration, including eligibility verification, documentation tracking, approvals/denials, injury reporting and coordinating accommodations per Applied Resources Manager guidance.
- Track performance review completion and support managers with follow-up.
- Onboard new employees, review benefits and policies and coordinate orientations on a regular cadence.
- Assist with administering benefits, including Open Enrollment prep, monthly invoices, and employee inquiries.
- Team with the safety committee to ensure compliance with OSHA standards related to Applied Innovation.
- Coordinate company communications related to employee life events such as births, bereavements, and other announcements.
- Manage employee anniversary plaques, use of Company properties for years of service recognition, and internal recognition platforms.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and assist with planning employee events.
- Complete verification of employment requests accurately and timely.
- Assist IT with employee completion and compliance on required training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Possess demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Possess working human resources knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, procedures, and regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills are essential.
- Must be dependable, professional, organized, detailed-oriented and able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability and comfort communicating processes and procedures to Applied Innovation employees one on one and in a group setting.
- Ability to quickly learn, understand, and manage new systems related to human resources.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an employee-first mindset.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- High degree of flexibility and problem solving.
Education/License/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Management, or equivalent work experience.
- One or more years of previous Human Resources experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (no DUI’s in the past 5 years).
