Job Summary
The Internal Solutions Developer will research, develop, and implement effective solutions and workflows for
internal use. The position will work with various commercial and custom software applications,
dashboards/business analytics and SQL/database applications to query, modify and display data. This position
will be part of the Internal IT team here at Applied and work with our other Internal Solutions Developers.
Responsibilities
• Meet with leadership/management to evaluate, create, troubleshoot, and maintain business process
workflows. Seek enhancements or improvements to existing workflow options/solutions.
• Provide proactive maintenance and support of solutions environment. This is to include no less than 1
major software upgrade per year (or as release cycles deem appropriate). Also to include ongoing
archiving/cleanup of records to keep database optimized. Work with Internal IT group to establish a robust,
secure, and performant operating environment. Immediately respond to and patch systems as appropriate
to protect the enterprise.
• Conduct ongoing review and analysis of permissions/security posture of solutions environment to ensure
“least-privilege” concepts are in use.
• Create and maintain an appropriate list of projects, business requests and documentation of
processes/workflows and systems.
• With management, establish a vendor-approved training plan to reach “Subject Matter Expert” status with
various solutions tools/technologies used at Applied. This is to include “maintenance” of this status with
any required “re-up” training/certifications.
• As an extension of Internal IT, provide direct end-user support for issues or to answer questions.
• Develop an internal training program for users, to include at least 1-2 Bootcamps or other public learning
options per year. Develop documentation as appropriate to help users be successful.
• Act as a liaison and technical expert for 3rd party vendors/developers with integrations to Applied solutions.
Assist these vendors in creating or enhancing existing integrations through API or other integration
methods.
• Maintain adequate knowledge of programming/coding and software development. Seek continuous
improvement in knowledge/capabilities.
• Participate in development projects involving Applied tools such as eAutomate, Sharepoint, Salesforce,
PowerBI, Artificial Intelligence and others.
• Provide Applied Innovation Service – Fast, Friendly, and Amazing
• Provide excellent written or verbal communication.
• Travel as required to support company objectives.
